Performance monitoring can be disabled using the same method call, passing through a false value. Combining this feature with Firebase Remote Config (a topic covered in the chapter entitled [[An Overview of Firebase Remote Config]]) provides an easy way to enable and disable performance monitoring after the app is live within the Google Play Store.
